The SAP Evaluation Process

Initial Evaluation
You will meet with a DOT-qualified SAP for an initial evaluation. This evaluation will review your background, work history, and overall well-being. Based on the assessment, you will receive guidance on the next steps, which may include recommended education or programs to support your return-to-duty process. Completing these steps is necessary before scheduling a follow-up evaluation

Treatment/Education Recommendation
Once the initial evaluation is complete, the SAP will provide guidance based on the assessment. This may include recommendations for education programs, counseling resources, or other professional support options. These recommendations could involve structured courses, self-improvement programs, or community-based resources designed to help you fulfill the necessary steps for the return-to-duty process.

Follow-up Evaluation
A follow-up evaluation determines if you complied with the treatment recommendations. If you complete the treatment, the SAP will provide a written notification to the employer explaining the situation, a follow-up testing plan, and any continuing care recommendations.

The cost of the SAP Evaluation is $350
$150 is required to start for the Initial Evaluation
